What, you haven’t done
your holiday gift shopping yet?
Well, if you are looking for that perfect gift for a raw food lover or a health-conscious individual or even yourself this Christmas (nothing wrong with shopping for yourself!), here’s a great gift-giving guide I put together while doing my own shopping – and it’s sorted by price range, including a $0 category at the very end!
Under $30
Books
In my opinion, books are the best gift possible. Good books have so much value and last a life-time! Most health-conscious individuals are freakin’ smart and love to read, so here’s a few ideas to get you started.
The Complete Book of Raw Food This inexpensive, hard-covered book has hundreds of recipes in it, all contributed by the world’s top raw food chefs! It’s the perfect gift because you don’t have to decide on a specific book by a specific chef… you get a little bit of every thing. My Lovebug gave me this book for my birthday, and of course, I loved it.
The China Study is a must-read for any health-conscious individual. It is the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted… I highly recommend this book for anyone.
The Raw Revolution Diet by Cherie Soria from the Living Light Institute. One of my favorite gourmet raw food books… full of amazing and truly classic recipes.
The Thrive Diet is a book by Brendan Brazier, one of the world’s few athletes who eats a 100 percent, plant-based diet, which also happens to be HIGH Raw. This is a great gift for someone interested in fitness specifically. Includes a 6 week eating plan, with most recipes being raw and the ones which are not raw have a raw option. A great read.
Raw Calendar
Here’s a Raw Food Wall Calendar, with 12 raw food recipes and beautiful, full-color, glossy pictures to go along with it for every month of the year! I love this calendar, I want one! They come out with a new one every year.
Here’s another one, The Art of Fruit, full of beautiful pictures of veggies and fruits, which will be sure to inspire healthy eating all year round.
Exotic Raw Food Treat
A unique raw food treat or an exotic superfood, which your raw foodie friend or loved one may not get for themselves very often – or might not even have tried! You cannot go wrong with this one.
Here is a tasty looking Raw Chocolate bar from Gnosis Chocolate. Browse their website for a lot more exotic and healthy goodies.
Or how about some Camu Camu powder? The Camu Camu fruit has more Vitamin C than any other known plant in the world (about 60 times as much as an orange). It has many other antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and it’s delicious.
Under $50
Raw Food Clothing.

Raw Food Chef apron.
Here’s a simple I Love Raw T-Shirt.
Or how about a Vegetarians Taste Better tank-top? Well… they do
Spirooli Vegetable Slicer – This nifty little thing makes it possible to create raw and gluten-free veggie noodles! A very inexpensive and handy tool to have around in the kitchen.

A bamboo Cutting Board – Bamboo cutting boards are the best, because they are durable and absorb little moisture. Also, bamboo grows without fertilizers or pesticides, so it’s good for the planet.
Body Care

Almost everyone can appreciate some lovely body care. I found a great box of Organic Soap which comes in a small, elegant tree-less gift box.
Under $100
The gift of exercise – How about a skiing lift ticket or a pass to some yoga or tai-chi classes. A pole dancing class (perhaps for your girlfriend)? With the gift of exercise, your friend or loved one will stay active and healthy year round.

Gift basket
Here is the Abundant Health gift basket from Living Light Institute chock full of all organic raw food goodies. There’s also nothing stopping you from making a gift basket yourself…. it can include many exotic raw food treats, such as special superfoods, nut butters and spreads as well as raw chocolate.
Under $300
Signature Kitchen Appliances
These appliances are awesome… if your raw foodie is missing any one of these, rest assured, this is what they want, and they’re probably already planning to buy it soon!

Champion Juicer is truly the champion of all juicers. Gets lots of juice out of the pulp, is great at juicing leaves, is quiet and durable. If someone you know has an old juicer which you know will burn out soon, they will surely appreciate something high-quality that will last forever!
Excalibur Dehydrator is an excellent food dehydrator. For more information, check out the official factory website.
A set of Good Knives is a must in a raw food lover’s kitchen and makes a wonderful gift.
A Ticket to A Weight Loss Program
If you know someone who needs encouragement to lose weight, Karen Knowler is putting on a special, online 6 week Weight Loss program focused around raw foods. If you don’t know Karen Knowler, she is the world’s premier raw food coach. I have taken programs with her before and she always over-delivers on value. Check out all the amazing things which will be happening in this program here.
$500 +
Vita-mix 5200 Blender
An industry-grade, powerful blender your raw foodie is sure to appreciate… No BPA, 7 year warranty and lots of nutritious meals. I use mine every single day! Here is a special holiday Vita-mix deal.
Raw Food Retreat or Festival
Here is a very informative page of all upcoming raw food retreats and festivals. Maybe a get-away is exactly what your raw food lover needs!

Isn’t the perfect gift self-made? I think so. Here’s a couple of ideas.
Recipe Booklet
Put together a collection of your favoritism recipes, tailored specifically to the person’s tastes or preferences. This is a thoughtful gift the receiver is sure to appreciate.
Home-made Jam or Marmalade
Healthy, raw jams are extremely easy to make… you can make the jam yourself, place it in a pretty jar and voila! The perfect gift is ready.
Here is a recipe for Berry Yummy Raw Jam.
Here’s another one for Raw Lime and Ginger Marmalade.
Any one of these wonderful, unique gifts are sure to satisfy the most health-conscious person on your gift list! Have a wonderful holiday!
